Character 1. This character is confident and happy, the walk could be simple, and have her wave at a friend with a grin.
I coloured this one :3
Character 2. This character has a big head...maybe to represent big-headedness in the past, but now the character is extremely sad, over-weight, and he slouches when he walks.
Character 3. This character is tired. The walk cycle could include this character yawning or rubbing her eyes.

Anticipation- A part of animation which will get the viewers anticipitating whats going to happen next.
Squash and Stretch- Unrealistic stretching or squashing of a character. For example, an arm of a character being pulled over a distance. (E.g. Jerry stretching Tom's arm)
Follow through- When one movement happens, and the other still does too. For example, A person swinging a cricket bat. The ball will go flying and the persons arm will still move after it.
Overlapping action- To begin a second action before the first action has yet to end, or collide.
Staging- Making sure the viewer will look at a certain part of the animation. For example, making Mickey Mouse brightly coloured in comparision to the rest of the characters.
Exaggeration- Exaggerating an action to get the point across. For example, lots of cartoons for younger children on "cbeebies," will often do this, to help younger children understand.
Secondary Action- A second movement being made because of the first movement. For example, somebody hitting someones face, it may move a bit. However it wont be as obvious as the Primary action.
Weight- Weight of the character, for example, a Elephant (E.g "Dumbo") making the ground quiver beneath its feet.

Basic crap version of the walk, istead of doing the fat guy, I changed to the girl instead. The arm still needs ALOT of work, its to stiff, and keeps changing lentghs. Also, the hair needs more movement, and each frame needs to remain in the same place instead of moving all over the place.
Info: Girl was intended to wave happily, but after complications with the arms which I struggle to fix, shes just walking normally. (Or looking depressed as many people have pointed out XD)
1.
2.
Also attempting to lineart to make clearer, and eventually change the arm in later frames.
The arm STILL needs fixing. It shrinks around frame 5 or 6. With the first 2 frames coloured.

It kinda looks like she keeps jumping back and forth, it'd be good if it was centered or if you made it walk across the page? Drawing looks great though ^^

I think the issue with the arms is that the upper part is too static. They need to swing like a pendulum as a whole either in small movements or large movements but they have to do it unless they are incredibly tensed up.
