this game idea really appeals to me there are so many possibilities for where the concept could go in the future, such as a sub game featuring one of the alien races captured for research. i would also like to do art for this game because it gets the imagination going especially the creatures and the worlds they came from.

I’ve been doing thangs

I have been spending most of my time creating the corridor, for our chase sequence. Although this is will be not the longest of trailers, the corridor needs lots of detail because it looks rather barren. I have been creating different assets to place in the corridor, like bits of rubble and generally just random objects that looks like they belong on that level of the ship. Some of my fellow team members have also been creating objects for the corridor, which i have then been placing around the corridor.
Some of the assets i have created are
-An engine
-Wires
-Generator
-Pipe work
-lights
- Coke sign
-Couch
I have also been creating some of the lighting in the corridor, it has been difficult trying to get the right colour balance with the different type of light’s on the ship.

Today Declan has:


  • Modelled a vent
  • Textured the corridor floor
  • Created a normal map for the corridor floor
  • Modelled 4 glasses


+ made some group decisions and other crap, probably things but MEH.

I've been doing more thangs

Ship windows - because I created windows in the space corridor, there needs to have something outside. Therefore I created some planets to go outside the ships windows with textures.
I created some futuristic looking monitors in 3d and textures to go along with them.
drew a concept of a spaceship for the space animation
drew a concept of aliens head and began model it.

Gonna call this generator finished, won't really be seen much anyway. Other than this I've just been doing some last minute tidying up around the scene before we start animating, making sure everything is textured and looking hot as. Also been working on making the female human I made look more.... female. Very Happy

Animated the logo, it's not textured but I'm waiting to place it on the side of the ship before texturing so it all matches.
