Concept Art - Monsters - Paul Wilson - Page 2 Monsterconcept12-2

next part in my monster, i have added the ribs and tried for the bone effect again, then tried to make
intercostal muscles for around the ribs but it failed lol

then i began shading in the main body and claws and the tail so far im still 50/50 whether i like it

im stuck for a background cudnt find a tutorial i wanted and i think we have to paint the scenery aswell :S

I think the highlights and shadows really add to the monster, the detail you've got so far is really good Smile

This level of detail in the image is brilliant, but I can see why people don't call it a hellhound. It's because it doesn't really have any canine qualities about it except that it's a tailed quadruped.

I suggest making it have some fur instead of bare skin all over. Or at least evidence that it once had fur by having little whispy patches of it indicating it all falling out.

Heres the next stage what im giving in atm, not happy with it all tbh,

all i have done is put in a foreground, i went for a textured one and it looks shit, monster doesnt fit in, and then the branches are even worse,

loooooks really gooood. Very Happy

the background wont matter because the monster looks excellent, and I'm sure if you really hate it you can resubmit it later on or just improve it in your own time.

Starting to look really good now, i like the colouring, background needs a tiny bit of work but it'll look super with a good background....hows it supposed to fly with no wings though?
