My inspiration for my creature design is Sammael The Hellhound from Hellboy

Heres my first monster design i might need to draw again coz i drew it abit too big :S, i didnt realise whilst drawing it coz i was watching the super bowl >.<



Here is my hellhound cleaned up in PS

not really, u dont necessarily need the whole thing in the picture, i think this would look good with a decent background and coloured with some nice textures and stuff.

sort of build the background around the monster persay i cud do that thats a good idea

i mite do a sort of forest, woods, misty crap lol hopefully i can do that well in PS lol

that's looking excellent paul i'm sure you can just expand the canvas to the right in photoshop and carry it on.

haha, and I'm watching the superbowl too, the who is on loving it lol

i think like a crazy dungeon kinda background would suit yours alot more

ya ill eventually get colour onto colin =] similiiar colour to that of which sammael is coloured and textured tbh, lol thanks for portraying my frustation when i screened XD, i know people say it looks like a dragon to wind me up but i cant help it and say its a hellhound lol

thank you =], well i got the idea of putting a skull over the top part of the head and eyes from pokemon xD cubone and also some enemies of legend of zelda gave me the idea lol

what do you guys think for the background, i was originally going to have it in a forest and a animal carcas next to it, hence why there is blood dripping from his mouth lol

yeet colin said coz its a HELLHOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol, i sud do it in a forest fire persay to emphasise that hell is coming to earth and its leading the charge lol

erm probably the same colours as sammael tbh =]

Next update, so far i have the base colours for the skin, some of the horns and the skull head
but for now i might start on the background lol

this took a long time because the everton match was on, stupid everton >.>

anyways lol, from my last picture i have more of a skull colour going on the head outlined some details,
also include the blood on the teeth and the pink tissue of the maw, but now ill try and start my background
and then i can start my shading etc,

btw anyone know any good Photoshop tutorial sites, because i cannot find one for a carcass or a decent forest >.>

heres the next update lol, very slow progress coz im very particular about things looking perfect :S im a weirdo like that lol

added some shading to the blood, added some shading to the skull and tried to get a texture on there using the shading lol
then bad shading on the horns and claws :S lol

background is a fail so far coz i dont know where to start cant find any tutorials to help XD

otherwise it will look crap >.<
