1. Anticipation
A part of the story where the focus of attention lets the audience know what event is going to take place, adding anticipation and suspense.

2. Squash and Stretch
A pulling/pushing motion on a character causing them to change proportion unnaturally.
(pulling a character's neck causes it to stretch.
3. Exaggeration
The action causes a massive and over-proportional reaction or result.
(A hit on the head with a hammer causes the character to be flattened.)
4. Weight
A character, according to it's size and shape, will make it's weight obvious through movement.
(a large elephant will struggle to walk whilst a nimble cat will pounce lightly.)
5. Curved Motion or Arcs
A character will move with a natural curving motion, and not stiffly.
(walking)
6. Staging
Important characters and actions cannot be hidden from the viewer. It must all be seen.
