| 1.Anticipation Anticipation is like for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXoU32y-fU0When Tom (the cat) is hanging on to string to save his life, you can see the string starting to snap. This is what makes us expect some thing to happen and we wait until it does. 2.Follow-Through Following-Through is when something is either moving really fast then stopping or some heavy dropping through wooden floors for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJJW7EF5aVkThe road runner doesn't just stop but in some cases he does but his body wobbles wildly left to right. the way hes skidding is a form of "Following-Through" to show we have to apply laws of physics in to animation 3.Squash and Stretch Squashing and stretching are forms of animation for the viewer even though this is impossible in reality the viewer accepts this as a form of entertainment. in cartoons they use squashing and stretching to show a bit of humor in weird situations, like here when daffy duck gets spanked by the Abominable Snowman Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JlVqfC8-UI4.Weight Weight is a perfect rule to follow for animation it gives the character more meaning, an elephant walks very heavily because its huge and heavy, while a cat is nimble and can sneak around with out being heard these attributes make the character more real. You wouldn't have an elephant jumping up fences and running fast or a cat that causes earth quakes when it moves. 5.Overlapping action Overlapping an animation means when you move your arm it doesn't simply single motion move to it destination other parts of the human body move in order for that part of your body to get where you want it . When you move your arm your shoulder, neck, spine and fingers all move in sync with it. iv done task one ! | |

| Looks good Luke, love the shading like Colin said!
Only thing I would possibly change is the last frame I think it is, his arm seems to reach out a bit abnormally, but overall looks really good! | |
